i know lots of people have suggested using them, but how do you actually go about that?

say i use construction lights, do i just tape them over and the light and that's that? is there a maximum wattage of light bulb i can use before risk the whole rig catching fire?

the next short i'm doing is going to be divided into two parts. the first being shot completely in blue tones, and the second one done in red. will using only china balls, and worklights suffice, or am i going to have to get a semi-professional lighting rig and use gels?
