Hey, I just picked up a super 8 camera in a flea market for $4.00, and I'm curious if anyone knows of any websites that sell super 8 film relatively cheaply. I really don't want to pay $13 for the film and then $8 for shipping. I mean, there are probably stores in Toronto that sell it, but that's a 2 hour drive. Any help would be great:) Thanks

Unlike the high volume online stores where they can take a loss on shipping, most Super8 sellers can't afford that loss. I don't know of any seller that ships for free.

What camera did you get?

The camera is a Bell&Howell 2103 XL... and oddly enough, everything appears to work on it. I'm just curious if there's a site that sells the film for around the $10 mark, so that when I add shipping, I'm not paying $20 for 2.5 minutes of film BEFORE processing. My day job is as a tech support agent for Road Runner internet, and they don't pay all that well, so I'm trying to keep costs down to a manageable amount.

I hear ya, word - we're all trying to keep costs down.

Since Super8 films isn't in high demand there are very few places that sell it so there is little competition when it comes to pricing. The 3 places I know sell B&W for around $13 and color at $19 per cartridge. I'm sure you'll be doing an internet search. If you do find a place that sells it for $10 be sure to let us know, okay?

Will do, Certified. I know that I've been researching it, and many of the sites I've come across have said that you could buy and process the film for $25 or so. I think I'll check into the costs of developing the film myself, so I don't have to ship it to a processor's and back again (so the $25 including processing may actually be accurate in that case). I've found some places in Toronto that sell the film, but I'll have to call them for a price quote.
