Okay, not real sure where this topic should actually go, but since it's something I'm producing, I've put it in Production, lol

Just something simple that I'd like to get as many views as possible on...When you watch a spy movie, what is something you generally look for? What makes a movie spy-ish for you? What excites you about an espionage-based flic?

Just trying to get some feedback before I jump into a project.

PS: If you don't like spy flics, or are of the opinion that I just shouldn't do one, don't bother typing. I'm not looking for opinions outside the basic premise of the questions asked above.

Thanks very much

I look for which CIA guy will be the villian. Outside of Bond movies this has become a major cliche. So much so that it might make a great red hering/twist.

I find the weird and new equpment they use realy intresting, and (of course) there has to be a big boom, with the guy escaping just in time. If a spy movie has that i'm watching it.

I personally love in spy/action movies when a main character is being followed or is following someone and you can't help but grab the arm of chair because its really intense for some reason.

Also every action/spy movie needs that part where a bad guy (not THE bad guy) thinks he's won but the spy has unknowingly turned the tables and that bad guys plan reverses on him.?

(Like in Casino Royal when Bond plants the bomb on the guy in the car during the airport scene.)
