Hey Everyone,
I am trying to choose an affordable special effects program mainly for automatic muzzle flashes. I am strongly considering AlamDV2, but I thought I would get opinions from fellow filmmakers on what may be a better program for these kind of effects.

After Effects is very good, you can get it half price if you're a student, and there are heaps of tutorials avaliable for it on the net.

However if it's out of your price range, I've heard that AlamDV is pretty reasonable. As you get more advanced, you'll want something more powerful that has more controls for customization. But it should be fine to start out with. ?:)?
