Rosco is a main manufacturer. Check out ProFogger, Chauvet, SuperFogger Model really depends on the application.

Heavy fog for exterior use - haze for atmosphere - low laying fog

i'd recently heard of people using them for indoor scenes, to create a bit of a mist that makes the filming a little softer...

has anyone done this?
