I'm shooting a scene in a movie tomorrow, where a guy stabs another guy with a knife. The only problem is I don't have a fake knife, and all the costume stores in town are closed right now, and are closed on Sunday's (Tomorrow). So, does anyone have an idea as to how I can make it look like a guy is getting stabbed with a knife, but

A. Not use a fake knife (because I dont have any)
B. Not have him get hurt.

Thanks
Please respond A.S.A.P

Depends a lot on what kind of a stabbing you want to do, but you can easily fake it with a choice of shots.

For example, two guys arguing.

Shot of guy 1's face seen over the shoulder of guy 2.
Shot of guy 2's face. He's arguing, then his face changes to a look of horror.
Shot of guy 1's face smiling at him.
Shot of guy 1 pulling a bloody knife away from guy 2.
Shot of guy 2's face as he looks down.
Shot of blood-soakd hole in guy 2's shirt.

I'm sure you can think of much more creative ways of faking it without having to show the actual stab. Even something as simple as showing guy 1 taking the knife out, and then a two-shot from the shoulders up with him doing a stabbing motion (obviously not while holding the knife :)) and guy 2 reacting as if stabbed could work pretty well.

you could show them arguing then have guy 1 grab a knife then cut to outside the room and have the door be closed. add some sturggling noises (possibly a scream or grunt) then show the guy that got stabbed stumble out with blood on his shirt. you could then have the guy 1 come out after him and get a shot of him holding the bloody knife while standing over the stabbed guy

Anyone know how to shoot a scene and have an actual visual of one guy stabbing another guy?

I am currently shooting a stabbing scene and need similar advice..

I want to recreate flesh so that I can film the knife entering the body then cut back to a shot of the victim with blood oozing from a wound...

Any help with how best to recreate human flesh that will bleed, pref spurt, when a knife enters into it...

thanx jx

Watch the shower scene in Psycho. The knife is never shown hitting the body yet most people describe it as one of the scariest scenes they've seen. If done right the mind fills in the blanks pretty sufficiently.
