hey i am planning to make a documentary on my friends band and was wondering has anyone done anything like this before and could you give me possible tips or shots they you thing look good in documentaries?? Also is it possible to send these away to festivals or is the no point. thanks alot im shotting on dv by the way

Check out the movie Use Your Van. Also, the new movie Grizzly Man has extras on the DVD about the making of the soundtrack. I don't know the details, but I know that there are festivals that are just for documentaries. Also, many film festivals have a documentary catagory. If you like the way it turns out, then I say send it in.
