I am new to HD, I have Canon XH A1. I plan to shoot a film and distribute in South East Asia. Down there they recommend MPEG2HD (as result) instead of DV. The question is how can I produce MPEG2HD with Canon XH A1 and final cut express?

You should be able to export your final product as an uncompressed QT file. Then use Quicktime Pro to transcode to the Mpeg-2 HD spec (80i).
