Sorry, I guess I came off a little arrogant with that post. I meant it with more of a joking tone, but that's hard to pull off through an internet connection. I meant to say as a way to discuss low budget options. Sorry, I didn't mean that as an insult to you or anyone else Beowulf.

No problem. I know what you mean, happens with emails often also.

I don't know, cops are usually hated because they are the "law" and yes, I have met some really cool and kind cops but more mean ones than nice ones.

I'm not sure how it is in other cities, but we actually have a rule here that cops have to give a certain amount of tickets out by "this time" or certain amount of warnings by "this time" for pension or something.

It's really stupid, and I have seen cases where cops could give out warnings or the like, but because of them are sometimes forced to give tickets, like their forced to be bad guys.

Just thought it was an interesting thing, guys might find it interesting.

When it comes to ticket quotas the cops do not set these, they come from the local politicians looking for revenue. Don't blame the cops, I can guarantee you they would prefer to be doing other types of law enforcement other than handing out tickets.

According to my father, who is a police officer in my town, he hates handing out tickets. Sometimes he even has to keep on the lookout for anybody he could give a ticket to just to keep the quotas.

Trust me guys, its not the officers' faults.

Anyway, back to filmmaking...

When the script writing is done, the work has just begun. When the filming is done, the work has just begun. When post-production is done, the work has just begun. When the distribution is done, you decide if the work is done.

Hi darkwolf would partly depend on what type of film, quality, how long and whether you need busy srteets etc. By the law you will probably need the orders in your area and they may be hard to get. In reality you may just be able to go out and shoot. Dont forget people do this everyday with their home video cameras. If youre shooting a scene that isnt going to take too long, you could get actors etc in place and you just happen to be filming. Would sure look weird though if you had to turn up with boom min etc, thats a different story.

One project we was working on on the production team, we got thrown off the tram station because the project manager told us he had obtained permission when he hadnt. As i say, its not the best thing to do, and certainly isnt overly professional, but sometimes needs must esp if youre just practising certain shots or is low budget and you can do in one/two takes.

Best of luck,

wayne
