My old shotgun microphone broke so I am going to get a new, cheap one. How is an Audio Technica ATR-55 Camera Shotgun Mic? Is it worth buying is it any good?

Film is a story told with moving pictures...

No, they just gave me my money back. But I looking to save some of that money, so I'm going to get a pretty cheap Mic.

Yes I have looked on Ebay. Thats where I am going to get the ATR-55 shotgun mic. It is only 50 dollars there. That's a pretty good price considering its retail price is about 100.

But I want to know if the mic is any good. I don't want to buy a worthless mic, no matter how low or high the price is.

I was also interested in this mic.

Is it compatible with the JVC GR-X5?

And if not, can anyone suggest one?

I have ALWAYS had a hard time with compatability issues in the past, not for lack of research, but for lack of experience.

I don't know if that mic will work with that camera. I just found out that this mic is going to work with mine.

All cameras with an audio input are compatable with all microphones.
