Hey all I Just wanted to pass on some tips I just encountered. I just got done (last night) shooting. The scene was a night for night with moonlight comming through the window. The scene then went to a night for day with orange sunlight pouring through the window blinds.

I put a #80 blue (rosco) in front of a 1k and pushed that through the window from the exterior. It looked great! I had a cool wash of moonlight comming in through the blinds with plenty of ligh to shoot by.

For the morning shots i did the same except I used a "CTO" orange (rosco) in front of the 1k. It too looked great! I was so happy with the results! A at one point standing on the set with the "morning sunlight" comming through I acually though the sun was comming up. In a later shot i panned over to the blinds and the 1k in the frame acually looked like the sun peeking through the blinds.

Just wanted to pass that on.

I used a par 39 (i think thats the model?). I bought it at a local theatrical lighting store in my town. The light housing, barn door and bulb all came to around $175.00 US. Well worth the cost.
