I'm interested in shooting a short film that mimics scenes from the movie, "CLICK", with Adam Sandler. I wanted to know how would I go about in simulating somebody pausing, rewinding, and fastforwarding the world around them. I know that for some shots I can just keep my camera steady and shoot 2 seperate shots of the same scene and then overlaying them on top of each other in POST. But I know that some of you out there have other shooting techniques, as well as DP approackes to the production that'll prove useful

Mr. 16:9. You better know the name.
One idea, I think it would work, is to film full scene right up until you want to pause, or rewind, or whatever, and then remove the other person from the scene, shoot at a different frame rate (or just do that in post), and film the person who is controlling the time in front of a green screen and superimpose the image. UNLESS of course, you are talking about hiding the character behind desks or chairs, or what not during this unreal time situation, in that case, you have to build a duplicate set of the one he/she is in, and make it ALL green, and have the character shot on there as opposed to just a normal green screen, camera angles, EVERYTHING have to be exactly the same for that to work. Also, even lighting and filler light to keep the green splash off of the character is extremely vital. It is not that simple to do, quite complicated as far as I know. I would be more then willing to possibly help you out with it if you are located in Los Angeles.

I might be 18 **(just turned 19 April 4th)**, but watch out, everyone has to start somewhere. I'm just starting a bit faster and bigger. 🙂
