I have a scene in my short were there is a young women in a white room that doesn't seem to end. (Think of THX1138, that kind of room) how do i pull this off with out a studio?
Try a white room and over expose it so it's washed out... I'm not a DP so it's only a suggestion. Or try the special effects route where you shoot the actor infront of something white and mask them into a pure white screen... color correct a little so the whites match and that might give you what you're looking for.
What? $1000!! That's crazy talk!!

Or green screen them and make your white room via digital aka light wave

You could try white seamless paper. Put the roll on two stands and pull the paper out so that it curves at the floor (i.e. no hard edge). Light it evenly. The only problem is that you will probably not be able to do a head to toe shot. If that isn't a problem you're set.
If you are editting digitally you may also shoot the person on this background, head to toe, and then mask out the junk on each side and add more white in post... depending on your post production capabilities.
Here's the product I'm talking about.
