I am looking to make a game themed film and was wondering how to get the certain camera angles I want. (A FPS type of angle, and an over the shoulder view.) Thanks for any help.

You will need a mount that attaches the camera to the gun somehow so that the gun moves with the camera. And for the over the shoulder do you mean like a third person view that moves with the person or just over the persons shoulder?

You could create some device that would hang off the actor (like a steadycam device, almost), and follows them around at the angle you are looking for.

"Video's a poor excuse, I know. But it helps me remember... and I need to remember... Sometimes there's so much beauty in the world I feel like I can't take it, like my heart's going to cave in. "

Yes third person. Ghost Recon Advaced Warfighter and Gears of War are good examples.

I would guess you're either going to need some way to attach the camera to the actor (Scorcese did that with a camera in front of their chest, and 'Pi' copied it, maybe some else did it before Scorcese :)), or a steadicam to follow them around.

I would suggest that movies and games are different and staring over someones shoulder for any length of time and having them block a chunk of the screen will get really annoying fast.

The DOOM only tried for a little bit at the end and I'd say it didn't work.
