After looking at JVC's HD7 and Canon's HV30 (and siding with the HD7), one of the few questions I have left is about the fact that the HD7 doesn't have a 24p frame rate option like the Canon. However, it does have a "Classic Film" mode. Has anyone used this function, and how does it handle in terms of delivering film-like qualities?

Most camera's come with a mode like Classic Film, and the one's I've used tend to create fairly good film-like motion. However, you won't be getting actual 24p, so all of your editing will still be in 30i and you'll still have to deal with interlaced footage.

Just remember that there's other factors that will be even more important in giving a film look, especially color correction, lighting, and even acting.
