What would be the best way to use green/blue screen to make a bottle look as if it is rolling down a stretch of hill. I'm working on a project and have a shot with a dog sitting on the lawn as the bottle rolls by. I figured it'd be best to use Aftereffects with this shot instead of using practical effects such as an actual bottle rolling since it may be difficult with the dog.
I thought I'd take a bottle and set it up so I can spin the bottle in front of a green screen. I've not had much experience with this area and am open to any suggestions.
Thanks!
I think you should try it in real time. Because doing something like that in AE is going to be quite complex, and difficult to make look convincing.

Frankly I would ditch the greenscreen and try with the dog and bottle at the same time. Then if that doesn't work shoot the bottle and dog seperately (don't move the camera setup), then matte them together later.
Greenscreen can work great if you don't know what the background is going to be but in this case you do and it will be identical in both cases so you don't really need the hassles of greenscreen.

Thanks for your input everyone. Yeah, I agree and I'm going to try shooting it with both in frame. It may take a dozen takes but I think with editing I can get it to look right. Thanks for replying!
