Often in small countries you can get the assistance of the government. I'm sure the Moroccan military or local police has the actual weapons you're looking for.
Robert Rodriguez got the police help while shooting El Mariachi which gave him access to all sorts of cool weapons. They didn't fire blanks without jambing but that was a problem he could deal with.
