Still waiting on the arrival of my DVX100A (cant wait) but I do have one question about it. I know its really dumb and will show what a novice I am to this but...how do you tranfer what you've recorded onto your computer???
Obviously its done through some input/output cable but I'd like to know which one. Does it come with the camera or do I have ot buy it seperatley? Also, is the camera compatable with Adobe Premier Pro?
Thanks
Lee
I know there should be a witty or profound comment here, so here goes...Boobies. Thank you.

Firewire cable is usually used, but not a standard firewire cable. It's tiny on one end and regular firewire on the other. I think its 8 pin to 6 pin.

It's usually 6 pins to 4 pins to connect a camera: the other two pins supply power to external hard drives and the like. I don't think there is an 8 pin Firewire connector, but I may be wrong.
yeah, what the people above said.
make sure you have a firewire card. the card usually comes with a cable that will hook your computer up to the camera. windows XP should recognize the camera as soon as its plugged-in, much like a digital camera. once its in there, your editing program should be able to record off the camera, and you should be able to control it like a VCR from the program interface.
i have the same camera, and plan on using a cheap MINI-DV camera as a VCR once its hooked up to the computer, so you don't wear the camera out.
