A friend has approached me to help them make a short doc about his band and to include footage of a live show.
The doc is a piece of cake of course, but the Live show is something I have never done before. I have worked in a tv studio 'envoirnment' (in college we had to take video production), so i know my way around the basic camera set-ups and so on.
We wont have a vision mixer, because it will be assembled post-gig.
Are there any things i should watch out for and any general tips?
The main challenge I think I will have is that the band plays the Blues and they pride themselves on their improv... its going to hard to 'board their performance.
Ups sorry..
I never done it before

Hi
There are a number of ways you could approach this depending on your equipment.
How many cameras do you have?
What kind of crew?
Or are you going it alone?
