So let me explain the scene:
From my flat I hear the explosion outside, I look from the window and see that a meteor fell, then I go out of my apartment in a rush, then I cut to an aerial shot that shows the damage that those meteors are making and the problem is when I want to cut back, will I just cut to the point where I'm running on the street or exiting my building or walking to the crater, I don't want it to look amateur, so what do you think what is the best cut for the scene?
There is no answer. this is the choice of the director and editor - you.
Shoot everything you can think of - running on the street, exiting your
building, walking, leaving the window from outside, leaving the window
from inside and anything else you can come up with - even crazy stuff.
Then import all that footage into your editing software and start editing.
The art of editing is having choices and trying different things until you
discover what works for you.
