Does anyone know where to find a VERY cheap Camera Track or do you have any advice to make one from scratch?

I have a suggestion-- we used it on an ultra-low-budget thriller shot in Vermont a bunch of years ago. For our pursposes it worked pretty well.

PVC pipe. You know the thick plastic stuff they use for plumbing nowadays? Just get a couple of pieces cut in the length you want. You lay down two lines of sandbags and then place the two lengths of pipe in the crook of the sandbags and you're off to the races.

Mind you the dolly we were using was also home-made. I think the creator of that dolly used regular skateboard wheels for it.

Hope that helps.

I think I've read on some other site that just getting any cart capable of holding the weight of the cameraman will do. Just have the person with the camera get on the cart, while another person pulls it, giving an identical effect to that given by a professional dolly. For shooting in places with uneven surfaces, simply put down plywood to create smooth ground.
