I've just bided and won a PD150, im from UK.

I've just realised on the pic there is a plug and its two prongs a foreign plug. Thinking NSTC.
I was told I shouldn?t buy a ntsc camcorder because it will course problem i.e. editing.

how will it effect me?
I've ordered 15 miniDV so if there PAL will they not recorded?

On the downside, Britain is a PAL country, so if you're shooting NTSC then you'll have problems (e.g. probably can't make a VHS tape on a British VHS recorder, and probably will only get a black and white picture when playing on a British TV from the camera). The other problem is that if you use flourescent lights you'll get 10Hz flicker in the shots.

On the upside, NTSC is the 'universal' format for DVDs, so if you were planning to try to distribute your movie world-wide, you may be better off shooting NTSC in the first place. Most British TVs and DVD players will play NTSC DVDs by converting them to pseudo-PAL.

As for tapes, DV doesn't care... it will happily record NTSC to tapes bought in the UK.

If you're editing on a PC, you might come across issues with your capture card. I know mine won't accept NTSC in anything more than B&W, despite the software having options for it.

Avid will edit NTSC or PAL, it doesn't care.

The flicker will be on the tape.
