Anyone have any input on doing a blood spurt from severed hand effect? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Yes. Go to home depot, get an insecticide bottle (it should be around 1 gallon, that's what I used) and you get a piece of tubing that would fit where the insecticide would come out (make sure your blood substance is in it) and tie a not at the end of the tubing and cut a hole at the end just before the knot. Tape the tubing to the victims wound and pump the insecticide up to buiild pressure then when the shot hits pull the trigger on the insecticide. This will take a bit of practice to see how it comes out and how you want it.

Yep.

A good ol' Hudson Sprayer ?url? http://www.hdhudson.com/catalog.html#Classic?/url? makes a great tool for a movie maker doing blood efx. Use standard aquarium tubing ?url? http://www.aquariumguys.com/airtubing.html?/url? to place the sprut exactly where you want it.
