HD comes in two main flavours I've noticed: 720p and 1080i. Which is better?
At the end of the day, this doesn't matter (as talent will always triumph over technology), but it would be interesting to hear what people's preferences are.
I know that 1080i has better resolution than 720p, but to its credit 720p looks more filmic.

Try going to an electronics store that has both and have them show you the picture quality difference. You don't have to buy from the store, but that's really the only way you're gonna know for sure is to SEE the difference on a television capable of showing the difference.
