Does anybody know how to do these two special effects cheaply?
A. I need to make mud look like it's boiling.
B. I need blood to squirt out of someone's nose so it looks like it squirting out like a fountain.

You could boil some sugar until it burns and turns brown, although it is very dangerous as it can get like molten lava. For the blood spraying one you would use a conceiled hosepipe to pump up the blood.
