Hi,
I've recently shot a short vietnam flashback scene in which I used airsofts with orange tips, which we were able to work out in post. We left them in for the shooting because I understand they're required by law.
However, I want to shoot another movie with a lot more gun play and I'm trying to find information about what I have to do to get a permit that allows us to shoot without them. I understand there is one but the laws I read seemed ambiguous or contradictory...

Check with your State film commision and you local law enforcment. Each State and City is different
