As I understand it, any body who writtes a piece of creative writting automatically has copy right over their work. How ever this isn't exactly going to deter people from trying to plaguerise that work now is it! Which is why I want to know if any of you know how to register your copy rite in the UK? Mabey even for free? Cheers, Cleary.

Most scriptwriters I know in the UK register at the WGA in America. I believe Raindance used to have some scheme for copyright registration and I think there's an British equivalent of the WGA who do the same but I can't remember what they're called.

However, in reality, plagiarism is very rare; most aspiring scriptwriters would be doing well if their script was good enough that anyone would want to plagiarise it, and any serious production company would rather pay to buy your script from you than take the risk of destroying their reputation through plagiarism.
