I could be wrong but I thik the BBC is the largest in Europe, that might be the place to start. Of course being a government deal they may only hire their own citizens.

Another way to go about this is to find a movie you like that was made in Europe and track down the production company involved. That way you at least have a passion for their stuff and know what you'll be getting into. THey might at least pass you along to someone else if they have no openings and you make a good impression.

Hey

It is nice to see people from my Country. I am from Turkey but I have studied in Ottawa, graduated from Brookfield High School and attantded at Algonquin Collage.

Soon I will go to U.S. to attend a film school and continue my career in film indusrtry.

I am not sure you want to come to Europe for summer job. I suggest you to go to Holly Wood and get a job in there. It is a summer job and in my opinion any job you get in hollywood is worthile. You will have chance to see how some of the things works in hollywood.

Hi JoeyDee;

I live (and work) in london. When I was just starting out, I tried to get an internship with the BBC - no luck. It's almost impossible. They used to be really big on interns, and training, but they seem to have cut most of it in their never-ending bid to save money. Only person I know who got one had a father who was a big-shot art director, but if nepotism isn't going to be possible, then I don't think you'll have much luck.

If you can 'go to Hollywood', I'd say do that - it would probably be more beneficial than scraping around for an un-paid position in a UK production house.

Sorry to sound so pessimistic - Good luck!
