So, do you guys storyboard your films by hand(Drawing) or do you do it with a computer application (Ex. StoryBoard Artist)?

Personaly I just rely on a good old fasioned pencil and a ruler. Ive never seen the point of using softwear to do it for me. Even if I didnt do it my self I would properbly pay an illistrator or an animator to hand draw it for me. Cleary.

Sometimes I used a pencil and paper, but sometimes I took digital photos on location with a stand-in for the placement of each actor. This gave a crystal clear idea of what I wanted to the dp, and if I needed something else (bright lights from left) I could write that on the print out.

Yea, I too prefer to draw it out. I really odn't think software does much for you. By drawing it , you can make it any way you want, no limitations. Also, there's no need for explosions and light effects to be in storyboard, its just a waste of time. Just draw the best explosion you can and draw an arrow labeled "Explosion".
