Random Acronym is a small production company who has just finnished work on the HD comedy feature 'BeeKeeping' (Bryant Mainard screenwrite) and is in the middle of producing 'ISOTAC' a feature 35mm feature.
Since we have some time before 'ISOTAC' will take off, we are looking to produce a short film (10-20 minutes max). Preferably dark comedy/drama. We will consider any script sent.
We can pay a small amount (figures will vary between $200-800 in cash upfront to secure rights, depending on funds availible and the quality of the script.) Writers will have large equity share in net profits (20% of all moneys collected as profit) and will get credit. Some scripts will be considered pending re-writes if needed. Cash will be paid when script is in its final form and ready to shoot.
The shoot will be in either 16mm or super16mm film. We are located in Alaska, so it is advised to send scripts that work in winter mountain towns (think snow, dark), and our tastes are akin to a david fincher movie (dark, slightly twisted).
Features may be submitted for future consideration, though no deals (other than possible options) are planned at this point.
If you want to submit a script, please email a coversheet and the script to mike?randomacronym.com. All submissions will be treated in a confidential matter, and writter shall retain all rights to the story, charecters and script until such time that Random Acronym decides to produce the film.
