Hey, I just signed up for this site, although I've browsed it for a while. A scene of my script, which I'll be shooting soon, consists of a POV shot of a website, crucial to the story. What's the legality of this? Do I have to ask said website (in this case Wikipedia) to give me the rights to show an article?

Would I be better off making my own mock website?

Thanks,
nach

It depends upon what you want to do with your movie. I believe you can use Wikipedia stuff for anything you want as long as you don't profit off of it. I'm sure there are some legal pages you can check.

Having said that I'd just make up my own and avoid hassles.
