Hey everyone! I am new to these boards, thanks for having me.

I'm a film maker here in New York looking to shoot a full feature film. Im looking for scripts to read, as I have locations set already. A diner, 3 houses, a pool area, gardens, chapel and a catering facility are all available to be used.

Thanks!

Bill

Hi blue, can i ask what your interest is in. Are you a director/ producer etc. People arent always too forthcoming with scripts when they dont know who they're dealing with as you could plagurise there idea.

Im not saying that YOU will, just to let you know peole are generally wary.

I see thhat youre a filmmaker, have you a website up and running? This may convince people a bit more to send your script 'off pat'

Also what do you have in mind for the scripts, are you trying to get somebody to write a script based around the locations you have or somebody tha may have these locations based in their own script.

If you give us some more info we may be able to help you, regards, wayne

It's pretty unlikely someone has a script that fits your locations or that they can gin one up quickly. Perhaps you are looking to brainstorm.

The chapel/catering facility seem ready made for a movie about a wedding or a christianing, The other locations would easily fit into that. So the question is what kind of genre do you want. Do you want spies attacking adn trying to stop the wedding, groomsmen trying to stop the wedding, a lurching hunchbacked knifewielding Ghost of a shamed ex-Priest trying to stop the wedding. What kind of movie would you like to make.

RJ, you are the awesomest brainstormer I have ever seen. I am truly in awe of you. 🙂

Brainstorming is fun, writing a screenplay is hard work.

I will definitely second that on the brainstorming. Rj has helped me immensely. As he says himself, brainstorming isnt always the best way as you can get sidetracked. But when you have an idea where to go, it can work a treat. cheers all

Now if I could just get paid for brainstorming I'd be happy.

That would make two of us. I have actually recently had an idea for a wedding movie that seems quite original.(at least coming from the few confidants I run ideas through and a little web research for similar movies that have been made)

I am still thinking of writing it myself, though, and possible filming it as I think I could pull it off for about $10,000 US.

I am in the process of finishing up a screenplay I am writing with another person at the moment so I probably wont make any decisions until Im done with it.

Its hard though, because in the spot we are at with the screenplay Im already working on, we have the entire story mapped out and outlined, so the huge amount of creativity isn't needed as much now.

I dont know how many hours I have spent thinking up really funny scenarios of other movie ideas, when I should be focusing on the one Im writing.

If you have plot and theme mapped out you can put all your energy into making the people interesting/quirky/real.
