Hey all,
I've been developing a script for a short film, around the the ten minute mark, but have been struggling in recent days to determine the main source of conflict. It basically revolves around one guy's inability to realize the life he lives is one lie after another. The film begins with him geting dropped off in a cab at his apartment building, but waits for the car to leave before he exits the building, and makes his way over to the building next door. He's become obsessed with remaining detached from all sorts of recognition.
Thoughts? Any help would be great.
First question I'd ask is WHY has he become obsessed with remaining detached from all sorts of recognition.
Second HOW does that effect his everyday life - friends, family, job...
Third WHAT could happen that would cause conflict in his life?
I fail my right to exercise.
** If its worth making, it's worth making properly. damn it!**
Well I am no screenwriteing master but as an audience member I would probably ask what made this guy come to realize his life is a lie. What made him. Mabye why was it a lie. Also does he have an obsessive compolsive disorder. Try to make sure you don't lead people to the wrong conclusion or the wrong thoughts. Well thats probably the worst advice given on this site. Sorry like I said I am no screenwriteing master.
