Hello all, New to the forum and movie making in general.
My question is i want to record local bands in small venues. Can I do this without a complicated setup? I havent bought any equipment yet as I am still in the planning stages of this venture so i am open to suggestions on how best to capture the atmosphere of the club as well as get a good sound quality for the DVD market primarily.

well, it depends on your budget. almost all live performaces have multiple cameras. usually one of each instrument, or front/ back of the stage. you could rent cameras if you'd like, as a cheaper alternitive. how much can you spend?
