this is my story. it is about demetry who has alice in wonderland like dreams that start to mesh with his reality. Soon he finds he can't tell the difference between dream and reality. to the outsider it seems he becomes scitzophrenic but the imaginary friend he makes up is after something and won't rest until he finds it. He uses Demetry as his mind slave and manipulates Demetry's reality until He can find what he is looking for.

i am about to get underway with rehearsals on the script and i have most of the cast in order but i still need to know an outside opinion. Does this story sound like it is worth telling?

Sounds good. Is it going to have a Donnie Darko like mentality?

"Does this story sound like it is worth telling?" is a bad question to ask. You're making the film. If you have any doubts or can't put all of your excitement and energy behind it, don't do it. Filmmaking is a lot of work. If you don't think it's worth telling can the film even be completed let alone be any good.

If your looking for someone to read over your script and give you some feedback then let me/others know.

Think about it.

to me it sounds interesting and i can put all my energy into it i just like to hear different perspectives. i didn't originally have donny darko in mind but after several people read my script and mentioned it i can see how it has a bit of that mentality. It got compared to alice in wonderland and through the looking glass. I know if it comes out the way i have it in my head it will be good but i have to work with free actors and actresses and i have to work on a less then $5,000 budget. i just wanted an opinion on how my idea sounds and anything that anybody might think would make it better.

Don't get me wrong, I do like the idea. In fact, I'd love to look over a treatment or a copy of the script.

Free talent doesn't always mean bad talent. If you don't have your talent cast yet check your local community theater and post your auditions through your local film board/commission. A lot of actors will take work just to add to their portfolio, gain more experience, or just to be acting. If you do plan to shop it around when completed you could always offer residuals as an incentive.

Cheers.
