Does anyone out there know of any good places to get production insurance for super-low budget films? All the places I've been calling have been quoting me prices that are as much as my entire budget! Any referrals or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Most short term insurance quotes are going to be in the $1,000 to $2,500 range depending on what you need to cover and what state you live in. If your super low budget movie is being made for $5,000, insurance is going to take a huge bite.

If you had offered more info (budget, state, what kind of coverage you need, ect) I could give you a direct referral - I'll just give you links I found by using Google.

I use Film Emporium. http://www.filmemporium.com/

I know this thread is rather old but it is still valid even today. I also use Film Emporium and have for the last few years. They are awesome at getting me the coverage I need and in a hurry sometimes! Highest recommendation!
