???Would you say it's possible to edit footage that was shot by a Samsung scl810 8mm Hi8 camcorder? I mean if it was to be put on a computer editing program.???

You'll need to either:
1. Get an analogue capture card.
2. Borrow a Digital-8 camera and capture by Firewire.
3. Copy the footage to DV and capture by Firewire from a DV deck/camera.
