my partner in crime and i about to start writing a script for a farrelly style comedy. it is about a guy who loses his arms in a car accident and struggles to carry on with day to day routines until a he meets and falls in love with a fellow amputee who teaches him that it's not the disability but the ability. obviously this is gonna be extremely hard to pull off and if we can get it off the ground it will no doubt stir a bit of controversy although we won't be poking fun at them.
we were thinking that maybe we could speak to a few amputees and possibly get their blessing and have them on our side which may help. anyone got any ideas?
And what ability is it that they gain by losing their arms?
Instead of saying "ability," why don't you make your characters realize that its going on with life that is their ability; the ability to not give up and persist living?
Here's one
A young man is driving to get away from his past, and towards his future as a filmmaker, but he's in an accident, goes to a resteraunt
where the patrons and the owner help him realize that he needs to overcome his past regrets, because he didn't survive the crash.
Any thoughts? Please reply
sorry, man but sounds kind of lame
