Hi...I believe I have a very good idea for a feature film. It wil be an independent film and if we pull of the shooting and editing well then we can look for distribution but thats far away yet, So I am looking for a screen writer who knows what he or she is doing. I know the events that will take place in the film and what characters erc. and where. So looking for someone who is willing to help write the script and fill in the missing gap and in return I will give credit to the person in my film. And if we distribute it then can owrk on money issues after. If you are interested then please get in touch with me via saf17een?hotmail.co.uk tc

It does not matter if you have had previous experiencce or not as long as you know how to type up a script!!! Thanks

I'm hoping you were facetious when asking for someone who "knows hot to type up a script!!!"; it is a skill you could learn in 15 minutes (with some help from screenplay-formatting software, such as the free 'Celtx'. In other words, I'm assuming you mean someone who knows how to write good, engaging dialogue and has a good sense of cinematic timing.

You will most certainly have to work on money issues before your screenwriter puts 'pen to paper'; later will be too late. You obviously can't pay him anything now, but IF the film gets distribution, your initial agreement with your writer will guarantee him that he'll see some of the proceeds from that distribution. No serious writer will commit to a vague verbal agreement that the 'money issues will be worked out afterwards'. In other words, you'll attract much better writing collaborator if you enter into some agreement that may promise him even some money at the end, should the film actually make any. You can still get a person who's willing to work for free, but an agreement that contains the possibility of some financial windfall later on will just sweeten the pot a bit.

Thanks for the info Vasic. Sorry I was in a rush so didnt type post properly. Yes I know how to write a script but what I meant looking for someone who I can discuss Ideas with and type it up on my behalf too after discussing ideas.

Also when I said 'work it out later' I meant if there any proceeds for the film then they pay that goes towards the scriptwriter will be shared 50-50 with me :)I hope that sweetens it up!!! lol thanks for the info deffinitely keep an eye out for those tips in future post thanks once again 😛
