Well, i released a thread before about me wanting to make a zombie movie, but there is like no willpower left, i wan't to make that movie but im not sure if anyone is gonna watch it. It also feels like im taking water over my head on this project, buying a camera and all. 🙁
Seriously need some inspiration right now to keep me going i guess, i can send you my short shitty script if anyone has the time.

Making a movie is hard enough so if you have lost the passion to do it, then it is wiser to stop before you commit time and resources (ie, money, other people's time, etc).
That said, take some time to think about what your obstacles are. What is sucking your passion away? Is it the difficulty in financing it? Is it the difficulty in getting equipment? Since this is about zombies, do you have adequate make-up support?
If any of those is true, then maybe the problem IS the script. A mediocre or poor story won't excite anyone, even you. But a great story will ATTRACT others because they'll want to work with you on something that has the potential to be great. A well-written story will also often attract financing which helps pay for things like equipment and "production value."
I'm sorry, I don't have time to read your script, but as you look back through it, make sure that you have a real story there and not just pages of zombies attacking with victims saying things like, "Let's get out of here!" In any movie like this, the zombies are really ancillary to the real STORY or THEME you're trying to impart. The zombies represent something important and aren't just creepy walking dead people.
If you haven't already, I highly recommend that you read everything over at www.wordplayer.com.
Good luck!

No, my passion for movies and capturing something aso.. is still there, it's just that, i have no make up support/no friends that are interested/almost no money.
I can just tell u a bit about the story then.
Sam(the main character) runs through the woods and on roads trying to escape the horde, he has been running for several days and is starting to lose hope of ever reaching anyone, when he sees a house. He then runs up the stairs banging on the door to let him in, and in the very last second he is let in, Michael is in there, a survivor, they talk and discuss and get to know eachother. Then the bunch of zombies that followed them there aretrying to get in and they will have to fend them of.
This is basically all that i going to happen, although i'm going to pull out more on fighting scenes and more captures landscape.

You knew getting into this it wouldn't be easy. Making movies is rarely a
one person hobby - you need others.

The hardest part of making a movie isn't buying a camera or even coming
up with an idea or having the passion. The hardest part is finding others
to help and actually doing it. If what you say is true - you cannot find
anyone in your area interested - then you have two choices; find people
or make a movie all alone.
Maybe you have to change your story. What about doing something along
the lines of the movie I told you about? One guy, locked in a room and
there is something out there? You can play the guy. It will be difficult but
since you are a creative person with the passion to make a movie I think
you can pull it off.
There are a number of "Twilight Zone" episodes with only one actor. Watch
them to get some inspiration.
Are you up to the challenge?

Yea i watched some of the first season of the Twilight Zone, was awesome! But i know i will be restrained by the fact im the only one. That kinda sucks since i had the idea of making a zombie movie where i would need multiple ppl. And writing an interesting script is just so hard. 🙁

Consider this - if you quit now, how will you deal with setbacks in life?
Try this - pretend you're doing something great, like taking charge of the moon landing. Then say that, no matter what happens, you won't quit, because, WHEN (not if) you do it, you will have made history.
Another thing is to read "Emotional Intelligence for Dummies", which is a great guide on how to deal with roadblocks in life.

I think that is one of the inspiring things i've ever heard, thanks for the advice, hope it comes in Swedish :S. I actually wish Sweden where more like America where you encourage dreams more than here. Becouse if you act anything out of the normal here your sure to get rejected for it.

The US, Canada, as well as Australia and New Zealand are very entrepreneurial, as opposed to Europe, and that's why I've always had faith in North Americans.
Read Arnold Schwarzennegger's autobiography for inspiration. And, if others still put you down, show them who's the best. But DON'T let difficulties stop you.
Now keep moving!

Thanks! ??
But if i could only choose one of those books, which one should i pick?

I'm a bookworm with several degrees and licences, so I'd read all of them. But reading books will NOT deal with what you're facing now - now your problem is to keep your project moving, making adjustments as necessary. You must remember to keep moving, and, more importantly, you must remember to keep making those adjustments, learning as you go.

I know it will not deal with what im facing, but the purpose of them must be to get more confidense and to know yourself aso? So i see your point but it is still a big part of facing "it".

If it was easy everyone would be doing it.
Okay, it sucks. You know it sucks, we know it sucks. So what do you do about it?
Once again you are faced with two choices;
1- change the story you want to tell first.
2 - find people to help.
I guess there is a third choice; Do not make a movie.
What are you going to do?

Since my mom is paying 66% of the camera i guess i could atleast make a try. =/ And if i end up not liking it my mom owns it to so she can just record the family and stuff. But it's just so hard making an interesting script, it ended up beeing pretty clishe-ish and mediocre.

If you feel that way about the script, then how do you think others will react?
To get help or attract financing or get an audience, YOU have to be excited about your story FIRST. Your enthusiasm will show on your face as you explain to others what you are doing and then they'll want to jump in. But if you're just making another run of the mill zombie movie where a couple people have to escape yet another relentless threat, why bother?
You're right, writing a truly interesting story is hard! MOST screenplays that get written are awful. Not everyone can do it which is why professional writers get paid so well. You have to figure out how to tell an entertaining story that you can produce into a movie given your parameters and financial means. It's not easy, but it is possible. If you truly want to do this, you'll find a way. 🙂
