Im working on my 1st feature length film with a grime artist that Ive written the narrative with. Since were both working as hard as each other its only right that were both intitled to 50% of any profit made off the back of the production. How ever Im not sure how to put this in a release form?
Can any one help me please?
Thanks, Cleary.

Well, you can really write out any basic contract and have both of you agree to it and sign it then have it notarized, which is basically a witness who proves the validity of the document.
Also, when the script is finished, you can submit it to the WGA script registry ( http://www.wga.org/subpage_register.aspx?id=1183 ) and submit it to the US Copyright Office ( http://www.copyright.gov/register/ )or the UK Copyright Office ( http://www.copyright.gov/register/ ). Those agencies will have forms that you'll place both of your names on, which would count for something if you two ever had issues down the line.
And/or, check out these books which should help guide you as you progress:

Writing anything is very difficult, and some people have enough trouble with punctuation and spelling, never mind dealing with the legal issues.
If you have a business arrangement, get a lawyer to draft the contract for you - and get someone with expertise in the film industry. You can never know what will come up, and I've seen lots of partnerships that collapse because the terms were not clearly agreed on. So do yourself a favor and get some real help.
