Hi,
I'm in the UK, together with a friend of mine in Sweden we've decided to shoot a feature length documentary involving the ways music affects and interacts with physically/mentally disabled children. We're hoping to visit a variety of different countries such as Japan, Italy, Africa, America and so on to assess the differences respectively.
As this is my first time I'm a little unsure of how to go about funding the film. My Swedish colleague appears to be able to get access to film granting quite easily in Sweden. Does any one have any idea how much funding I would be able to get through the UK film council for example or would I be better off raising the money myself through some form of sponsorship?
Thank you
You could try the film council, but I'm not sure you'd get anywhere. Have you contacted any charities that deal with disabled children? They do sometimes fund movies that are relevant to the work they do.
