can someone tell me very simply why I hear the HDV is way better then normal 3CCD DV??
Is there more pixels? havent the HDV and say XL1 both got 3CCD, so why do I hear more about HDV?

DV is 720x480 (NTSC) or 720x576 (PAL). Depending on the camera, HDV is 1280x720, 960x720 or 1440x1080.
Basically you're getting up to about five times as many pixels: plus HDV is always widescreen, with true widescreen CCDs.
