From Landon's web site

Now you may be saying, Hire a 16 year old to direct a feature film that could cost me Millions?!? yeah right. However, Don't write me off that easy. There is no rule saying that "One must be 40 before he has a vision to make a film". That is just so not true. Many young filmmakers have made GREAT films.

I admire your desire but I'm just not ready to put a $300,000 show into the hands of anyone who hasn't directed a feature. Nor a show costing several millions of dollars. Regardless of how many behind the scenes and "making of" DVD extras you have watched.

You are correct: there is no "rule" saying you have to be 40 to have a great vision for a movie. But when my livelihood, my reputation, the food on my children's table, comes into play, I'm not ready to trust a feature film to someone who can't even legally sign the deal memo.

As with any 16 year old, I would be required by Federal Law to limit my shooting days to 6 hours and have to hire an adult guardian to be on set with you.

This is no problem when we're talking about an actor - but my shooting days would double (as would my production budget - not to mention my insurance) if I had a minor directing my movie.

A couple of things about your site:

Anyone looking for a director is going to be looking for someone with a great attention to detail. That fact that there are a dozen misspelled words and too many typos on your site shows a lack of attention to detail.

Posting on a message board without bothering to check your spelling and typos is one thing - not bothering to check this on a professional web site where you are soliciting paid work is another. I'm sure you know how to spell; you just didn't bother to do so on your site.

Nevertheless: I look forward to seeing your reel. Shoot me an email anyway. If you actually reach your goal of completing two 35mm or HD features by the end of the year I would love to keep in touch and offer you a job as soon as you are of legal age to sign a deal memo.

Ok, I understand your concern. I'm booked till early next year anyway. On top of that, by the time next year comes, I'll more than likly be booked up for another year.

I have talked with a producer who says that when I'm done with my feature (s), and they have got good ratings. he will want to get me to direct there work. So, if this all happens, then I'll be booked for a while in the future.

As I can see, my age to you is a distraction. But I dont think its so much my age that turns you away, its my experiance. And I understand that.

Again, My offer to Direct your shoots still stands after my 2 features are done, if I have the time.

Im more in to Directing my own films anyway. As i plan to do. I dont plan to accept much of the "Director for Hire" stuff.

P.S) That website has been up for a while now. I have just "Updated" SOME of it today. Most of it still is about 3 years old.

**SITES WAS UPDATED 20TH OF JUNE 2004**

Like you wouldn't turn down whatever bullshit projects you have lined up to take up this multi-million dollar, professional one.

And oh, nice one quirky:

Did you ever find a script? If not, please advise as I believe I have what you are looking for.

I have access to $10m specifically to fund films similar to 28 Days Later.

If you have something that is of top quality, there is between $200k and $500k for the writer, but seriously it must be top quality.

Please let me know.
