Hi,

I have two questions that some of you might be able to help me with. Any responses are appreciated.

-How does one go about finding quality stock footage. I know I can go to different archives, but are there any you all recommend? I'm looking for turn of the century industrial boom to current counter culture trends, showing Americans living the American dream, etc.

-If I find something on youtube how does one go about acquiring the footage? I heard George Romero used a lot of youtube footage in his new film. Might be some legal explanation someone good give me.

Thanks again for any sort of responses.

I think a good rule would be to... never use something youtube quality anywhere in a film.

If you insist you can use real player to download anything you want. You just have to get permission from the owner.

And be prepared to pay some hefty prices for stock footage.
