I have just thought about this. If i film alot in public instead of casting 100's to act as public in a public place won't i need their permission as they might not want their faces on a tv screen??:)?
Another question:
What happens if i film at the airport without their permission and it gets onto tv can they sue me or anything i was only thinking of filming in public areas with a mini camera.
it depends - personally i see no problem as long as you couldn't identify peoples faces. But you know what the Law's like

Hmmm i dunno ?:)? My imagination is running wild and i so want to get making my film. I am going to wait for this to come out: http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelDetailAct&fcategoryid=177&modelid=14869
For what it's worth, when i was doing interviews with public, we had to get a waiver signed by them. Other members of the public who didn't speak or weren't the focus of the shot we didn't need to get waivers for.

Thanks, i just found a website on the bbc called film makers and it shows how and gives you a form that you can print for them to sign?:)?
My experience filming in public is this:
1. Contact the local film commission to see what kind of permits are required (if any).
2. Cross-reference with any local city regulations.
3. If it's a go, then any identifyable face (e.g. a stranger on the street) you would need to get them to either sign a waiver, blur the face, or cut the shot completely.
However I'm not a lawyer and it would always be better to consult with an attorney for this kind of thing....
Best of luck!
