How terrible is 'Eating Oranges in Seville' as a title for a film. (Its a film about relationships and its set in Seville)
I'm having a 'discussion' with a friend and we need feedback. I won't say if i am on the very terrible or good side of the discussion.
How does everyone else think of things to call their films?? Are titles important?

Titles can be important, especially if you don't have a big star to make your project stick in peoples minds. That is a pretty good title actually. It is memorable and indicates the location which ties it to the movie. Without knowing more about the movie its hard to say if it is pretty good or great.
If its a sad movie you could try Orange Rinds in Seville as rinds has more of a used up feel to it. If it's has a bit of a saucy-humor you might go for something like Fresh Squeezed in Seville. Either way the play of the Oranges and location works nicely.
An odd thought is that you might remember you'll be sitting next to Eating Raul on the DVD shelves. For good or bad.

Thanks for the feedback and the point about films it might end up next to ... i hadn't thought of that angle.
Its umm bittersweet is probably the best way to describe the screenplay so far.. which is why i liked the title becasue you can't actually eat the oranges in Seville - they taste more like lemons. Just in case you are ever there.
I didn't want to mention that before because i thought most people approaching the title for the first time wouldn't know that.
Plus you know gotta think of DVD extras, directors commentary or something along those lines... (lol)
