I am wanting to make a short film about bullying. It will be very dramatic and tragic. Im kind of following in the footsteps of William Shakespeare but making it very modern. I am wanting to get famous people involved. I feel that this will get the attention i want. However im not just making this for my own benefit. Im wanting to raise awareness about bullying in school and out. I feel that many people dont understand what bullying is and how to combat it.

One good technique I've seen used in things like 'Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels' and 'Doctor Who' is using celebrities that can act but aren't actually viewed as acts. People fresh in the public eye like Russell Brand or Vinnie Jones. Someone like that, for example. Someone off the TV with a recognisable face anyway, who people will want to watch in a new role.

You will first approach the actors agent with an offer. Can you pay them what they usually get? Will you be paying them half of what they usually get? Or is this something you want them to do for free?
You need a great, finished script that offers the actor a challenge - something they don't usually get to do. Tell them exactly where you plan to shoot and exactly how many days you will need their client. You should have a start date, but let them know it's flexible. Be prepared to pay for their living expenses if they are from out of town and for all travel expenses even if they live in your town.
Something very important to keep in mind when you approach a working actor - especially a recognizable one. This is what they do for a living. Many are willing to help out a low budget moviemaker, but this is much more than a hobby to them - clearly having a famous actor in you short film will get you the attention you want, you need to demonstrate that it will get them the attention they want.

Thank, i want them to do it for free. I was talking to a friend of mine and he said he knows the winner of big brother 6. I am going to try and see if i can get him to act, as he doesn't live to far away and hopefully will help be out due to me know one of his best mates.

This is the story of Ed, a young boy who committed suicide
because of one boy named Roy, who got a sick kick out of
bullying.
FADE TO:
Ed punching Roy
FADE TO:
Roy lying on the ground (Blood on his face)
FADE TO BLACK.
FADE IN:
Ed in heads office.
HEAD TEACHER:
Why did you hit Roy? He's
seriously injured! Explain
yourself boy!
ED:
(Crying, mumbling) He's a bully.
He just pushed me to far. He
punches me all the time.
(Flashback) Calls me names.
(Flashback) Threatens me.
(Flashback).
(Knock, Knock) Receptionist comes in and whispers something
in Heads ear... then leaves.
ED:
What's wrong (pause) tell me
(pause) Its Roy isn't
HEAD TEACHER:
Listen, I know he's a bully but
I'm sorry, he's dead.
ED:
What do you mean? He cant be.
Ed runs out the door.
FADE TO:
Ed sitting knee's up to his chest crying
FADE TO:
Ed writing a suicide note - close up on letter reading
'He was the bully, I was a victim. Now I'm a murderer and
he's dead!'
CAMERA ROTATES ROUND ZOOMING IN ON A MEDICINE CONTAINER.
Ed takes pills (overdose)
Eds phone rings
ED:
What? How? Oh My god? He didn't?
So it wasn't my fault? Oh my god?
But! ....
WIDE SHOT
Ed collaspes
Head teacher rushes into shot. Checks Ed's pulse (pause)
Then CRIES.
NARRATOR:
Ed died of an overdose. You see a
bully can still hurt someone even
after they've gone. You see its
not easy to forget and move on
after being bullied - even if the
bully is dead.
FADE TO BLACK.
