hey has anyone here ever had to post-pone a movie that you really wanted to make but you couldn't cause you wanted to get better equipment or something like that? I resently had a movie post-poned that I really wanted to shoot, but the director decided to delay it because we need to get a better camera and we need to get prepared for it more, I agree with the decision, but man I really wanted to make the movie.

there's no reason you couldn't do it twice. do it the first time with the sub-par equipment, just for practice/rehearsing.

that way you get a good idea of the camera angles you want to use, and dialogue/scenes that work/don't work.

Postponing to get a better camera may leave you in limbo forever - there are always new and better cameras coming out. You could always rent a top of the line camera.

Postponing so you can "get prepared more" sounds like a great idea.
