The independent film that I'm currently working on now takes place during the Holocaust. The main characters in the films are imprisoned Jews or SS/Nazi guards/officers.

I've look all over the internet for cheap costumes, however, replica uniforms from the internet don't seem to agree with the film budget.

Does anyone have some suggestions on how to duplicate the look of Nazi soldier/officer uniforms and Jewish prisoner outfits for extremely cheap?

Try an army surplus store, any army surplus store. I bought myself a WW1 army uniform for ?9. Also, if you'll be purchasing many uniforms you will probably get a discount. I've found that Army Surplus Store's are generally run by kind old guys who run the shop more for the passion than for the money.

Contact WW2 reenactors. They probably can't help you with the prisoner stuff but they usually have uniforms (perhaps not SS guards but you never know) and usually know who can be counted on for cheap and authentic replica gear.
